Darebin Parklands Masterplan (Darebin & Banyule City Councils, 2008)
The Darebin Parklands straddle Alphington and Ivanhoe, approximately 10 kilometres northeast of the City of Melbourne, and is a district park covering an area of 33 hectares. The Darebin Parklands are highly regarded for its social, recreation, education, conservation, water quality management, cultural and heritage values. Working as part of a team of consultants ASR Research conducted the community consultation process associated with the masterplan’s preparation. The purpose of the consultation process was to identify what the key stakeholders (Council, residents, local interest groups, local schools etc) considered to be the physical attributes and deficiencies of the Darebin Parklands and the issues that needed to be addressed in the Masterplan, as well as any improvements that they considered should be undertaken over the next 20 years.
